CARE & WELFARE : Introduction
The care and welfare of pupils residing at The New School is guided by what they might expect to experience in the home environment, rather than in an institution. In other words we base our provision on the quality of relationships between care staff and the children. A highly experienced and qualified care team support students to develop independent living skills and to foster positive relationships.
A key aim is to allow each child to forge his or her own place in the School community and to develop, through a rich web of friendships and associations, a greater self-awareness.
