The New School has a dedicated, caring and professional staff, led by an equally committed Board of Governors from a wide background of experience, and supported by parents who take a great deal of interest in the progress of their children and the School alike.

The Senior Management Team
The Head Teacher is Anne Cadden
Anne joined the school in November 2007 as Head of Education and was promoted to Head Teacher post in August 2010. Anne, a former Geography teacher and principal teacher in support for learning holds a number of qualifications; Bachelor of Education (Bed), Master of Letters (MLitt), Diploma in Special Educational Needs (DipSEN) and a certificate in counselling.

Morna Bell is the Bursar and joined the school in August 2010. Morna, a Chartered Certified Accountant was formerly the Finance Director for a Housing Association where she worked for 18 years. Morna has the skills and experience in finance, risk management, business planning and strategy considerations which support the School to focus on the development of the financial and governance arrangements.

Head of Care – Fiona McGillivray – took up her post in January 2008. Fiona is a qualified Social Worker, has a Registered Manager’s Award. She has significant experience of working with young people with Additional Support Needs, has acted as a Research and Development Worker for Perth Action on Autism, has managed a large team of Care Workers, and has lectured at Perth College on issues such as Child Protection and Learning Difficulties.

The Senior Management Team work closely with the Board of Governors in strategy considerations and sound governance and manage in the delivery of the schools objectives and aspirations.
Policy and planning are the responsibilities of the Board of Governors, and part of these responsibilities includes ensuring that the School is led on a day to day basis by a competent and qualified team of professional individuals. In charge of this team, of course, is the Head.
