Our chef, Colin, received the Scottish Governments Healthy Eating Award in February 2013.

At The New School we choose to listen and provide for our students through several different avenues, as follows:

1.            Student Food Council
2.            A weekly student choice
3.            The availability of an alternative choice should the student make a prior request
4.            The provision of individual care plans and food preparation for students with entrenched and difficult eating disorders
5.            Provision of individual food preparation for students with food allergies
6.            Provision of individual food preparation in adherence to a student’s religious upbringing
7.            Provision of individual food preparation for students who are vegetarian
8.            An ongoing schedule of gathered information through various surveys, of student likes, dislikes
9.            A direct line of contact that is available to all of our students through the use of our student request forms, these are permanently and prominently accessible within the Dining Room
10.          Any other request that can and do periodically surface due to the nature of our school and our purpose.
